Millstone Edge

Millstone Edge is a majestic gritstone escarpment in the Peak District National Park, near Hathersage in Derbyshire, England. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Hope Valley and the enchanting surrounding countryside, making it a cherished destination for walkers, photographers, and climbers alike. Named for its history of millstone production, the edge reveals remnants of this heritage through abandoned millstones and quarry scars that tell a story of time. Part of several well-trodden walking routes, including connections to Stanage Edge and Surprise View, Millstone Edge invites both casual visitors and experienced hikers to explore its beauty, with accessible paths and rugged trails alike awaiting those who seek adventure.

Why go to Millstone Edge?
